Review Policy

Thank you for reaching out the Bashful Bibliophile to read and review your book. I love reading and love to publish honest review for hardworking authors. I am currently accepting ARCs! Please keep in mind though, I have a pretty long reading list and can’t guarantee that I will accept your book. Please read through my whole policy before sending in your review request. This should give you an idea of what I will read (and what I won’t read).

What format of books will I accept?

.Mobi for Kindle (I also have access to NetGalley and BookFunnel)

Audiobooks (not preferred, but will accept depending on the book)

time-frame in which you would like a review posted (before or after release date)

Please allow 2-3 business days for my response. If you haven’t heard from me within a week, it could be considered a respectful decline. If I like your book and it fits my review policy, I will reach out to you.

What can you expect from my review?

I rate books on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best. Most books I read average a 3 to 4 rating. If I have rated your book as a 2 or under, I will withhold posting it and send the honest review back to you first.

I promise to share my fair and honest review and opinions about each book I read. I will not purposefully be mean, but will provide constructive criticism if need be. You can find my various reviews on my site and Goodreads Profile. When I write reviews I will state the book title and author, share the synopsis and then share my review. The review itself touches on the storyline, characters and worldbuilding. I also highlight and make notes (if the book is on kindle) and share them throughout the review as well. I reserve the right to not finish/post an ARC copy review. I also reserve the right to not post a review of your book if I can’t finish it, something comes up or I’ve run out of time. I try to avoid DNFs as often as possible.
